Eagle drill size. Eagle cad specifies certain drill and hole sizes, for example, used for vias, when routing. Endurance expands eagle zone by 85 metres with drill intersections of 14.46 gpt gold over 2.4 metres and 5.11 gpt gold over 5.6 meters. There is nothing magical about 0.02. When drilling your pcbs a minimum of drill bits is required. I don't know eagle, but my guess is that when you specify a pad size, eagle will automatically pick a drill size.

I'm tinkering with milling out a pcb that i've made with eagle, using pcb gcode to make the programs. By the pythagorean theorem, the diameter of the hole should be 0.776 mm. Eagle really should allow display in both.

For currently 8mil via drills, the outer and inner pads are set to 17.84252 mill (automatically by eagle) for 12 mil vias eagle has set the outer and inner pads to 21.84252. That would not be a problem if these components did not take the physical space, including how they attach to your circuit board. The drc but changes all pads in board, which is a problem with ics (tracks can't pass in between pads). The conversion factor if there isnt. Better a little oversized than too small.

A lot of pcb design is the placement of the components. They are the heart of your device, providing its functionality, but you must place them somewhere. I have no expirience with ulp scripts, but i believe there should be an easy way to achieve this.

I'm having trouble changing the drill size and component pad size in eagle 4.14. The vias of the signal will now be selected on you board: Right click the signal you want to change and click 'select in editor'.

I would like to change drill sizes but the ones on. Please provide a revised drill file when i was doing my design i didn't think to adjust any drill sizes so i just used whatever eagle gave me. I'm trying to make pads diameter wider than default changing the restring params and others.

Depending on the board house you use, you may have to tell. But all the other incorrect default sizes remain there as well, as tempting as they are. This is a size that we've found most pcb fab houses can drill without too many tolerance issues.

I find the default drill size to be way too large and the pad to be way too small.
